چکیده

This study seeks to evaluate the economic implication of a biogas digester built from composite material ascertain its cost effectiveness. The feasibility conducted indicates that brick made only fixed dome costs between USD 3193.99 and 4471.59. high is attributed construction material, thus prompting need use materials lower for affordability sustainability. Hence, under was comprising high-density polyethylene (HDPE), bricks cement. inlet outlet chambers were using cement, while digestion chamber HDPE material. From analysis conducted, total initial investment reported be 1623.41 with an internal rate return (IRR) 8.5%, discount payback period (DPP) 2 years net present value (NPV) 1783.10. findings equally revealed estimated quantity could replace 33.2% liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) cooking gas. Moreover, daily yield 1.57 m3 generates approximately 9.42 kWh electricity, which about 1.54. Thus, recommends plastics in constructing digester, as it effective sustainable.

Upcycling wastes with biogas production: An exergy and economic analysis

The massive consumption of finite resources creates high economical and environmental costs due to material dispersion and waste generation. In order to overcome this, by-products and wastes may be used, to avoid the use of virgin materials and benefit from the useful inherent energy of the material. By adding value to the material, economic and environmental performance can be improve, which i...

Biogas production from different substrates in an experimental Continuously Stirred Tank Reactor anaerobic digester.

Different mixtures were digested in a single-stage, batch, mixed, laboratory scale mesophilic anaerobic digester at the Biomass Research Centre Laboratory (University of Perugia). The yield and the composition of biogas from the different substrates were evaluated and the cumulative curves were estimated. Two experimental campaigns were carried out, the first on three mixtures (chicken, pig and...

Production of Biogas from Poultry Waste

It is inevitable that with large volume and high density poultry productions, there will be large quantities of poultry waste produced in Kathmandu and throughout Nepal. Poultry waste produced as the daily feeding of chicken both from broilers and layers in the country is largely used as organic manure for agricultural purposes. The poultry industry is growing day by day concentrated within the...

Biogas production potential from cotton wastes

The anaerobic treatability and methane generation potential of three different cotton wastes namely, cotton stalks, cotton seed hull and cotton oil cake were determined in batch reactors. In addition, the effects of nutrient and trace metal supplementation were also investigated. To this purpose biochemical methane potential (BMP) experiments were performed for two different waste concentration...

Biogas Production Potential from Economically Usable

Biomass production for energy purposes on agricultural land competes with food production. This is a serious problem, considering the limited availability of farmland, rising demand for varied food products, demand for more organic crop production resulting in considerably reduced yields per area and the need for more environmentally sound agricultural practices meeting long-term sustainability...
